Mat Pilates with Small Equipment

Physio‑led mat based clinical Pilates

Our Mat Pilates classes are evidence based and delivered by physiotherapists. Sessions are designed to improve stability, flexibility, strength and overall movement quality through safe, low‑impact, and carefully progressed exercise.

Classes are suitable for a wide range of abilities and are programmed to support effective, sustainable progression. Mat Pilates may be chosen as an alternative for those who prefer not to use the reformer, or as a complementary option alongside reformer‑based classes. It is functional based and can be transferable to the home setting.

Health fund claimable. No referral required.

An individual assessment is required prior to commencing physiotherapy led classes to:

  • Optimise client outcomes and safety
  • Ensure the concepts of the program are understood
  • Identify postural issues and movement dysfunctions
  • Assess and optimise core muscle activation
  • Real time ultrasound consultations offered to see and measure core muscle activity
  • Fulfil physiotherapist board licensing and private health funds requirements
